Trick Water Skiing

Trick water skiing involves complicated and exciting turns on one or two trick skis. If you are in a competition, then points are given for each trick with larger point values for the more difficult tricks that you perform. Trick is an event that requires very good balance and the capability to perform under immense pressure. Even the smallest mistake can result in instant failure. Usually every skier is entitles to two rounds where the goal is to make as many difficult tricks as they possibly can. Each round lasts about twenty seconds. The skier is watched by a panel of five judges whose task is to consider whether the trick was acted out in the correct way and with in the set time limit. In order to receive the predetermined point for the trick, it must be determined if the trick was performed correctly, listed as an official trick, and the trick was preformed in the order declared in the skiers trick list. If the trick is preformed and meets all the necessary requirements, then this will result in a full credit. If not, then it will be counted as a zero. When the skier has completed the two rounds, the point value for each trick is determined by adding together the points from a majority of at least three judges. The final score is then calculated by adding together the points from all the correctly preformed tricks. The skiers with the best total is then named the winner of the event. Performing these water tricks takes a lot of practice and not to mention a lot of courage. It is easy to get hurt on the water if you do not know what you are doing and the proper ways to do the tricks. The are training videos that can help you learn the tricks or give you ideas.
